The Sketchbook Project

Basically, The Sketcbook Project is an annual traveling exhibition of sketchbooks. Artists from all over the world can join in the project, which works like this: you buy the sketchbook they sell on the website, which comes with an unique barcode on it; then you send it back with your artworks, when it will tour the USA on several galleries and museums; after that, all works will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library.

Using the barcode of your sketchbook, you’ll be able to keep track of your book and record who views it at every tour date and while it’s in The Brooklyn Art Library. The 2011 tour will take subscriptions by October 31st. Check out the project’s site for more information.
